Why GetCapable exists

We already have plenty of places to store tasks. The harder part is knowing what realistically fits — and actually following through in real life.

I created GetCapable because I could not find the system I actually needed: somewhere I could unload everything competing for my attention, have it challenge what realistically fits, and then tell me what matters now without creating another system to manage.

Real life is not one project. Work, health, children, relationships, money, household responsibilities, study and personal ambitions all compete for the same finite time and energy. Most planners organise those demands. GetCapable is designed to make the trade-offs visible and make the next move easier.

That is why the product starts with capacity, not a blank task list. It learns how you work, notices the kinds of plans that repeatedly fail, helps you recover when the week changes and gets better as it sees what you actually complete.

The gaps we are deliberately filling

  • Whole-life outcomes instead of task-only productivity
  • Capacity before scheduling
  • Needs-based support rather than diagnosis-only modes
  • Recovery after disruption instead of overdue-task shame
  • Less setup and fewer decisions for the user
  • Personal learning from actual completion behaviour
  • Calm UI that becomes simpler when overwhelm rises
